The Strive Girls fundraised money by selling chocolates to go shopping for refugees week. They were split into 3 groups and given a budget of $60 to use to spend on a variety of products. They needed to work together to be creative on what and how they would spend their money on the shopping list provided for them with only buying 20 items. It was a tough challenge for some but in the end they were able to purchase a variety of good quality items with the budget given.
On Wednesday the 22nd June 2016 the items were delivered to the House of Welcome Food drive at the North Sydney Community Centre. Staff at the centre appreciated the donation and Strive participants were able to make an impact by engaging with a national event that affects so many of our locals. Well done girls!
